Last weekend’s Le Grand Du Nord bike race was a huge success and a ton of fun for the Voyageur Brewing Company crew.With constantly-evolving equipment and intrepid souls, biking in northern Minnesota is becoming more of a year-round activity, and we love to see people getting out in this beautiful landscape as many ways as they can. With cycling enthusiasts surrounding us, the sound of local sweethearts the Plucked Up String Band in our ears and the sweet aroma of Double D’s Barbecue in the air, we had a wonderful inaugural summer weekend. To those of you happily eating cheese curds and drinking beer on the roof in the drizzle, we salute you!
This weekend is bound to be just as much fun with Eric Frost performing on Friday and Billy Johnson on Saturday. We’re celebrating Saturday’s National Trails Day and National Bike Travel weekend on Sunday at the brewery. Cruise in on your bike, snap a photo, show it to the bartender and you’ll receive a free beer. You can also show us a photo of yourself hiking on National Trails Day and get a free beer on Sunday. Just in case you need any motivation to get out and enjoy the great recreational opportunities that surround us in Cook County, we’re here to provide it.
