We received some great news the other day. The Tap Traveler announced his Best of 2016 list and he chose Voyageur Brewing Company as the best brewery destination! We couldn’t be more honored for this special recognition— many thanks, Tap Traveler! Here’s what he had to say,
If you’re in the metro area you’re in for a four to five hour drive, but what awaits you is worth it. Voyageur Brewing is located right as you enter Grand Marais and it’s a must stop if you’re in the area. I thought about calling this award the Best View since their rooftop patio offers gorgeous views of Lake Superior but that would do a disservice to everything else they do right. They’ve got reclaimed wood decor, a cozy fireplace for the winter, beautiful art from local artists adorning the walls, and some tasty appetizers to snack on. Their beer is nothing to sneeze at either! You can even make it a weekend road trip with plenty to see and do in Duluth (including more breweries), your pick of state parks on the drive, and a bevy of outdoor options to work off those calories.
Voyageur Brewing Company had a fantastic time serving beer at the St. Cloud Craft Beer Tour on Saturday, January 21st. It was a packed house and everyone was very complimentary of our beer. We’ll be attending the Beer Dabbler Winter Carnival on February 4th at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds from 2:30-6:30pm. It’s the biggest outdoor beer festival in Minnesota and a true celebration of winter.
This Sunday we’re celebrating National Puzzle Day in our taproom with a Puzzle Challenge. Participants can compete as an individual or create a team to put together a 550 piece beer cap puzzle. All participants will receive a free 9-ounce pour and the team who completes the puzzle in the shortest amount of time will win a special prize. We’ll have other puzzles on hand for those folks who would rather not compete but still want to participate in National Puzzle Day.
We have live music featuring Matthew Griswold on Friday, January 27th from 4-7pm and on Saturday, January 28th we’ll have Jim and Michelle Miller performing.
