Summer and the Solstice at Voyageur Brewing

There aren’t too many places I’d rather spend a summer solstice than on the rooftop of Voyageur Brewing Company in Grand Marais, Minnesota. Maybe camping in the Boundary Waters would be better but then again without a cold pint of craft beer in ones hand it might only be a close second. A person could stop in and get a growler of our fresh beer prior to their canoe camping trip in the BWCA and enjoy it out while out in the wilderness… In any case, if you’re in Grand Marais on the solstice we invite you to join us in celebrating the longest day of the year. Thursday, June 21st Kyle Ollah will provide music on the rooftop from 5-8pm and from 9-10pm all of our flagship beers will be HALF OFF! You read that correctly, we’ll be staying open an hour later so you can make the most of the longest day of the year.

You don’t have to wait until the solstice to enjoy Voyageur as we have many other fun activities planned. Saturday, June 16th come create and paint with Artful Palette from 2-5pm.  Find more information on our website and please sign up in advance or she won’t make the trek up from Duluth.

Sunday, June 17th we’ll be celebrating Father’s and National Fishing Day. All Dads will receive a free 9-ounce pour and anyone with a MN fishing license will also receive a free 9-ounce pour. If you’re a Dad with a fishing license you’ll receive a free pint of beer.

Like to draw? Owner Ritalee does too! Join her on Monday, June 18th from 4-6pm on the patio.  She’ll bring the art supplies for Community Collaborative Drawing.

Let’s not forget the real reason most folks visit Voyageur, our beer. Head Brewer Stuart has created some excellent beer and right now we’ve got some hazy beer happening at Voyageur.  Our Voyage North is a Hazy IPA and our Voyage South is a Hazy New England inspired Pale Ale.  Those two beers along with our four flagships and a couple more seasonal offerings make a visit to Voyageur an adventure in itself.

We’ve got delicious food, wonderful beertenders, awesome beer and more waiting for you at Voyageur Brewing Company.  Hope to see you soon!
