DESCRIPTION:We’d love to give you a tour of Voyageur Brewing Company and show you how we make our craft beer in Grand Marais\, Minnesota.\nWe offer tours on most Saturdays beginning at 11am but you need to reserve your space online in advance.  No payment is necessary at the time of booking the reservation but we we do ask you to bring a $5 donation that we can give to one of our Cook County non-profits. \nThe tour of the brewery begins and ends in the Taproom. A knowledgeable and friendly tour guide will explain the brewing process to you and show you the ingredients and equipment needed to make craft beer. After the tour guests 21 and over will be offered samples of our beer and can ask any questions they might still have. \nBrewery tours fill up quickly and there’s a 20 person maximum per group. \nTour Details: \n\nTour of facility($5 donation)\nTours take approximately 45 minutes\nComplimentary beer samples included for guests 21+\nEveryone is welcome in the tasting room and gift shop\nRecommended for ages 12+\nLimited to 20 guests per tour\nTours must be booked in advance\nPlease wear closed toe shoes\n\nDon’t forget to register all members of your party\, including your kids.  \nPlease cancel your reservation if you are unable to attend so some other lucky fan will get to enjoy the tour.

We hope you’ll join us for some food\, entertainment\, beer and fun. \nSkyVault’s youthful ensemble tells a Two Gentlemen of Verona-ish tale. \nIn “On the Road to Verona”\, a group of musically inclined (very) young players set out to prove that you don’t need middle-aged actors pretending to be teenagers to portray Shakespeare’s comic romances. (“You can always go see that at the Guthrie\,” they say.) \nAn audience-interactive\, immersive experience in which the cast (and the audience!) posts to Facebook throughout the performance to comment on the action\, add another level of humor\, and share lyrics to SkyVault’s original\, Shakespeare-inspired songs. \nThe script and Shakespearean-lyrics for this original production were developed collaboratively by the SkyVault ensemble and premiered at the 2016 Minnesota Fringe Festival\, where reviews by regular Twin Cities theatre-goers rated Verona among the best of the 168 shows at the Festival. \nA sample of reviewer comments: \n“A totally inventive take on Shakespeare!” * \n“Energetic\, whimsical bard-iness.” * \n“You may very well be watching future stars of the Minneapolis theatre scene.” \n“Truly the best show I’ve seen at the fringe this year. SUMMARY:Hopping the Pond Premiere at Voyageur Brewing Company
DESCRIPTION:Some of you may remember back in November when there was some filming going on in the brewery. It was Dogsnose Media from Duluth\, MN with their production team visiting Grand Marais to shoot footage for their pilot program about the culture of craft beer. \nThey have created a program from the view of a traditional British Ale Conner- an explorer of all things beer. In each episode the Ale Conner(from England) learns about American culture by way of small breweries. While he primarily focuses on the craft brewery he also takes time to explore the community the brewery is located in. \nWhile he was in Grand Marais he met up with the Mayor of Grand Marais for a dip into Lake Superior\, made a visit to the local fish market for a crash course on commercial fishing\, bartered with locals at a swap meet and even participated in a “donut challenge”…all the while meeting and having fun with the lovely townsfolk of Grand Marais. \nEach episode will find the Ale Conner learning about local American culture by way of small breweries\, while teaching his new friends some bits about British culture along the way. \nThe pilot show is ready to be previewed and Voyageur Brewing Company is happy to host the premiere showing on Thursday\, March 30th. With a little luck the show will be picked up by a network and shown on television for the whole world to see. Even across the pond in England.

DESCRIPTION:We’d love to give you a tour of Voyageur Brewing Company and show you how we make our craft beer in Grand Marais\, Minnesota.\nWe offer tours on most Saturdays beginning at 11am but you need to reserve your space online in advance.  No payment is necessary at the time of booking the reservation but we we do ask you to bring a $5 donation that we can give to one of our Cook County non-profits. \nThe tour of the brewery begins and ends in the Taproom. A knowledgeable and friendly tour guide will explain the brewing process to you and show you the ingredients and equipment needed to make craft beer. DESCRIPTION:Enjoy craft beer and live music at Voyageur Brewing Company in Grand Marais\, Minnesota.\n\nGene and Amy have been writing and performing together since 2012 and moved to the North Shore of Lake Superior in August of 2014 Their emphasis is on acoustic style duet performances of their original songs as well as unique renditions of some of their favorite artists from Dylan to dirt old country. \nGene LaFond has been writing and performing for over 50 years.\nHe has opened for Bob Dylan and has performed original songs twice\, with his pal the late Larry Kegan\, at Neil Young’s Bridge School Benefit Concert (a songwriter showcase put on in San Francisco by Neil for nearly 30\,000 fans to raise money for the Bridge School for Disabled Children).\nGene has played numerous venues throughout the years in the Twin Cities as well as a dozen or more times with renowned violinist Scarlet Rivera. Gene has also performed and traveled with legendary folk musician Ramblin Jack Elliott. \nFormer cowgirl and junk artist Amy Grillo began singing around the campfires and in the bars and music venues of Minnesota’s Iron Range. Her ear for harmony and a good story are what give her songs a unique\, earthy and relatable feel. Her sweet harmonies and lyrical talent are a perfect compliment to Gene’s vocal and guitar picking style.

DESCRIPTION:There’s no better place to celebrate National Beer Day than at a family owned and operated brewery in Grand Marais\, Minnesota.\nWe’ll be celebrating this special National holiday by playing a variety of beer games for prizes and drawing for beer specials all night long. \nAccording to Wikipedia- \nNational Beer Day is celebrated in the United States every year on April 7\, marking the day that the Cullen–Harrison Act was enacted after having been signed into law by President Franklin D. Roosevelt on March 22\, 1933. Upon signing the legislation\, Roosevelt made his famous remark\, “I think this would be a good time for a beer.”[1][2] The law went into effect on April 7 of that year\, allowing people to buy\, sell and drink beer containing up to 3.2% alcohol by weight (or 4.05% by volume) in states that had enacted their own law allowing such sales. People across the country responded by gathering outside breweries\, some beginning the night before. On that first day\, 1.5 million barrels of beer were consumed\, inspiring the future holiday.[3] Today\, April 7 is recognized as National Beer Day and April 6 is known as New Beer’s Eve.[4]
