DESCRIPTION:Voyageur Brewing Company is proud to host a special Books N Brew event as part of the Grand Marais Art Colony’s Readers and Writers Festival. \nSPECIAL EVENT | BOOKS-N-BREW: OGLE/ A GPS POEM FOR THE GREAT LAKES BORDERLAND\nMOHEB SOLIMAN | 9:00 – 9:30 pm \nThis performative installation metes out the poetry of our ceaseless searching for directions/meaning\, destinations/home\, and desires/oblivion. It charts and skirts the obscure line dashed out in the waters of the longest border in the world to explore how we inhabit and identify with place\, geography\, and the sublime in the always lost and found Google maps era. Ogle is a calm navigation to nowhere\, through physical\, psychical\, and virtual spaces we can zoom/zone out in and see ourselves and our places anew. No Pre-registration required.
