You can enjoy craft beer from Voyageur Brewing Company in Grand Marais, Minnesota whenever you’d like. There doesn’t need to be a special event to visit our beautiful taproom with a terrific view of Lake Superior. But if you need a nudge to get out and enjoy a delicious beer then we’re here to give you that nudge.
We host special events in the taproom including bag tournaments, live music, beer release parties and more. We also attend events like tap takeovers, craft beer festivals and tastings across the state.

Portable Planetarium & Stargazing

Gaze at the stars while sipping on a pint of craft beer.
The University of Minnesota – Duluth’s mobile planetarium and their telescopes are hitting the road for a trip up the North Shore to celebrate the dark skies in northern Minnesota.
The event is free and open to all.
From the organizers:
“Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn and the Milky Way will be visible in the evening sky. This is also the time for the Perseid Meteor shower where we can expect to see 50-70 meteors or shooting stars per hour. If it’s cloudy or raining, we can still take a tour of the universe in the GeoDome mobile planetarium.
Cloudy skies aren’t an issue with the GeoDome. We can take you on a tour of the universe rain or shine.
Daily programming will run from 5 to 11 p.m. inside GeoDome.
Free shows will be offered in the GeoDome on the half hour. If there are cloudy skies or rain limiting our outdoor activities, there will be hands-on activities in addition to the planetarium shows.
Before You Go
Wear long pants/sleeves. It may be summer, but the temperature can cool down in the evenings, and you’re not moving around very much while observing.
Wear bug spray. It’s a good idea to protect yourself from mosquitoes and you’ll enjoy the time more if you’re not having to swat away bugs. But please do not spray bug spray near the telescopes. Apply it beforehand or briefly walk away from the telescopes to spray.”
